 Our customers and neighboring communities can be assured that we have established environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and that we are working to reduce the impact of our facilities and products on the global environment.  At our manufacturing locations, we continue to look for ways to improve our processes through increased recycling, waste reduction and energy savings.
We are also working to secure International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 and OSHAS 18001 (an internationally recognized standard in occupational health and safety management) certifications at various locations. The certification process involves the identification of environmental aspects and impacts associated with our plants and the establishment of targets for continuous improvement. Grace China’s Shanghai Minhang plant is one of the few in its industrial area to have received both ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 certifications.
 Our activities are coordinated through an EHS Management System that has been audited and certified by a third-party registrar for meeting the requirements of the American Chemistry Council, the industry's gold standard. The management system serves as the framework for Grace's global EHS activities.
