Our customers and neighboring communities can be assured that we have established environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and that we are working to reduce the impact of our facilities and products on the global environment. At our manufacturing locations, we continue to look for ways to improve our processes through increased recycling, waste reduction and energy savings.
We are also working to secure International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 certifications at various locations. The certification process involves the identification of environmental aspects and impacts associated with our plants and the establishment of targets for continuous improvement. We have certified sites in Spain, United Arab Emirates, Germany, United Kingdom and Ital, with additional sites currently undergoing the process.
Our activities are coordinated through an EHS Management System that has been audited and certified by a third-party registrar for meeting the requirements of the American Chemistry Council, the industry's gold standard. The management system serves as the framework for Grace's global EHS activities.
Our main goal is having everyone work, think and be safe. We have consistently achieved total injury rates well below the average for the chemical industry. What the figures show is that Grace employees around the world make safety a priority each and every day. |
