Trusted Partners with China for over a Century
Grace and China started a trading relationship over a century ago. Moreover, J. Peter Grace, the company’s President (1945-1992) and the father of modern Grace established lasting ties with the Chinese people and their leadership. In 1986, Grace China Ltd. became the first wholly foreign - owned enterprise licensed to operate in the People’s Republic of China.
Grace has offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and a trading company in Hong Kong, backed by a network of professional technical, marketing and distribution representatives in other major industrial cities. This allows a first-hand understanding of the needs and demands of the Chinese market.
To underline the importance of China in the Asia Pacific region, in 2005 Grace established the regional headquarters in Shanghai’s Kwah Center.

 Today, China attracts the interests of the world’s economies. And Grace is well-positioned to explore the opportunities that the country’s growth provides. We have manufacturing facilities producing sealants and coatings, as well as concrete admixtures and cement additives. Our quality construction materials are used in major projects including Beijing’s LG Towers, Shanghai’s Maglev, Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport and the Guangzhou subway.
Grace China develops unique tailor-made solutions to meet local demands and better serve its customers. Four Technical Service Centers located in Shunde, Shanghai and Beijing contribute to these developments.
