Job Description:
Oversees customs/export issues. Develops and implements export/import procedures. Interprets contract terms/conditions for export/import implications and provides direction in all phases of international logistics. Advises functional groups of customs and export regulations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for coordinating trade compliance processes with all business units supported by our global service department as well as our third party logistics and brokerage providers.
- Work closely with logistics team as well as cross functional teams to drive trade compliance programs across world wide service network.
- Understand & apply the related I/E regulations and identify/solve customs issues to support effective daily business operation.
- Logically evaluate the cost, risks, and benefits of alternatives prior to making recommendations and/or decisions from customs compliance perspective under China and global trading environment.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve and optimize trade flows to minimize duties and taxes.
- Assure controls and audits are in place to minimize risks associated with global customs and regulatory agencies.
- Develop & Lead the organization to achieve the tactical and strategic goals and objectives of the organization.
Job Requirement:
- Thorough understanding of complex Global Trade laws and regulations, familiar with Harmonized Tariff System.
- Fully understanding of I/E operation related with trading company in China and especially in related Free Trade Zone.
- Ability to interpret, break down and communicate complex trade statues, rulings, and regulations.
- Ability to determine and communicate legal and monetary ramifications of business decisions and actions.
- Creative thinking and trouble shooter with strong analytical skills.
- Customer-oriented, self-motivated and team player with pro-active style.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to develop strong internal & external relationships at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects by working with multiple clients
- Ability to operate in global environment
- Industry knowledge, Forwarding/logistics experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Experience with PC software (MS Office, Exel, Word SAP, etc.)
