Procurement Manager, Davison

Job Description:
Lead efforts in all direct materials of Davison Products in Asia Pacific region to maximizing satisfaction of Grace valued customers at a optimal total direct materials cost. This would include leading the effort for development of global processes, systems and programs to achieve best in class category management and processes for the region.
Drives to lower total cost of ownership of Grace-wide enterprise spend, i.e. Direct Materials, Indirect Materials and Logistics, thru best practices sharing for productivity improvements as well as ensure continuity of optimal supplies with minimal risks.

Job Duties:

  1. Lead the finalization and deployment of Global category strategies, processes, systems and programs within Davison in AP region. Provides primary contact between procurement and regional Davison business resources related to Category management

  2. Communicate, interpret, and effective implement category strategy. Support Global Category Mgr in prioritizing, evaluating and executing Global and Regional procurements opportunities. Coordinate with other regional procurement leaders to ensure the quality of service delivery of all Davison’s Categories for the region

  3. Manage mutual beneficial business relationships with key suppliers throughout the supply chain that leverage our key strategies and lead to improved profitability. Negotiate supply agreements in order to obtain lowest cost-of-materials and supply chain efficiencies. Determine timing and quantity of purchases, establish efficient inventory levels of Davison’s direct materials, select profitable payment terms and evaluate supplier resources. Conduct and participate in strategic planning sessions with senior Davison leadership in the region.

  4. Deploy and implement standard business work process (in sourcing / purchasing related). Gather key learning and leverage best practices to achieve continuous improvement.

  5. Works with business partners to understand their needs and identify market opportunities. Promote and endorse a culture of best-in-class and integrated operating company, programs and system development

  6. Manage the budget of total spend of $18mm, supply to 14 countries into/out from 5plants

Job Requirement:

  1. Individual should have a minimum of eight years in Procurement/Supply Chain management, preferably in Chemical industries and have the leadership/communication skills to effectively guide teams.

  2. MBA with Strong chemical business experience (marketing/sales/ business development) preferred.

  3. The individual should possess the business maturity to constantly establish priorities and act with initiative to reach goals of the Supply Chain unit.

  4. Excellent presentation, interpersonal skills, getting results, analysis skills and good English written and spoken skills.

  5. Anticipated travel requirements 30-50%, with international travel
